I don’t consider myself an overly “technical” person - I think a basic knowledge of tools is important for everyone these days. Yet somehow I’ve often been asked - and I deliver - on creating websites.
I must say, having a marketer do something technical - like a website - is much better than, say, having an IT person do a marketing task. The sites I’ve made clearly articulate the purpose they serve - instead of featuring the latest bells and whistles.
In conjunction with the overall rebranding of the Club, the website was redesigned and relaunched. It now features a robust tour of clubhouse amenities, a calendar of upcoming events, the Club’s history and a clear way to submit an application.
Using a platform provided by Brilliant Directories, I completely overhauled this legacy website improving searchablity by geography and practice area and introducing the capability for listed firms to add their own thought leadership, events, job listings and videos.
Michèle Gerber Klein is an author, collector and philanthropist whose focus is fashion and art.
Her site celebrates her work including her engrossing biography of visionary fashion designer Charles James.
Sporting Clays for Charity was founded in 2013 to promote shooting sports, provide opportunities for sharing good times with friends and to support special charities by promoting and conducting sporting clays events. This is their first website.
This established attorney marketing and directory services company has rebranded to offer a more expansive package of association marketing and management services with a new website to match.
This nonprofit supports the Sea Gate Police Department and its members as well as other qualified charities and public service organizations. It awards two scholarships each year. This is their first website.
In partnership with this longtime agency partner, I relaunched their website to better articulate their available services and experience.
This second-generation family-owned general contractor has long specialized in Chase Bank branches but needed a website to better represent their expanding expertise.
Light Metals Trading is a US distributor of specialty aluminum products for the automotive, aerospace, industrial, and medical industries. This is the first site I did in Wix.
A “community” website is a very powerful benefit for associations and their members - as well as for corporations for whom engagement is an important part of their retention strategy. But this is only true if the site was implemented in a way that fully integrates the community content with the rest of the website so that the member/customer experience is seamless.
Like many in 2020, The Hundred Year Association of New York had to scramble when in-person fundraising events were no longer possible to adapt a virtual experience. For this event, we opted to create a microsite just for this event - and then decided to keep it after the event and use it for this event for years to come. The event itself was pre-recorded (our video vendor was Veekast and we recommend them) and cobbled together content recorded by members and honorees themselves (as we all became accustomed to in quarantine) and older footage and B-Roll we had. The site features a virtual journal and added value for sponsors.
Recent software and platforms I have used include:
